When Bron of Heartfelt Living described Fratelli Paradiso as the place the cool people eat, it went straight to the top of my rather awkwardly named ‘Places to eat in Sydney’ list. Because I’m super cool right?

Don’t answer that.

To be on the safe side I took a beautiful person with me so at least he could provide an illusion of coolness while I snapped away.

Good thing I did take a decoy of coolness because they were baking up a storm of breads and pizzas for the day ahead and I got quite snap-happy.

Hundreds upon hundreds of perfect little rolls

I ordered the olive focaccia with mortadella, scrambled eggs, rocket and balsamic ($14)

fratelli paradiso, breakfast, panino, scrambled eggs

Silky eggs, paper thin rolls of flavoursome mortadella and a fluffy olive roll.

J went for the Piadina – prosciutto, rocket, stracchino (a soft cows milk cheese) and balsamic ($14)

Not a flattering photo but the prosciutto was perfectly salty and smoky and there were lashings of creamy cheese.

We shared a little pastry for breakfast dessert

fratelli paradiso, pear and ricotta tart, pastry, potts point, cafe

Tender slices of apple on a sweet and creamy ricotta base and perfect flaky pastry. Served with nicely bitter and fragrant espresso.

Top quality super-fresh food, great coffee and all the baked goods you could hope for. I need to go back to Sydney now simply to go for dinner 😉

  1. Beautiful people (that’s the both of yous) and beautiful baked goods! I might have to pay this place a visit!

    • The guy in the photo actually just brought his little’un in to distract him after a big stack. It’s lovely to watch all the gorgeous fresh food being made before your eyes.

I love to hear from you...
